It’s the most recommended brand as an initial step for those who want to try a tool storage system first. Stack connections between TSTAK units are stable and are widely used from DIY users to professional tradespeople.

DEWALT TSTAKシリーズのスタンダードモデルが、フラットトップのDWST17807です。TSTAKシステムはすべてのボックスが専用ラッチで積み重ねられ、底面の四角いレールが上下のボックスをガッチリ固定します。「積んで持ち運べる」という当たり前の動作が、どのメーカーより安定しているという評価を現場では多く聞きます。

In actual use, while the depth tends to raise the center of gravity when stacking, the TSTAK system’s unique lock rail holds it firmly, so the risk of tipping is low. If you stack 2-3 units and place them on a cart (TSTAK Carrier), movement between job sites is smooth.
The downside is that the Deep lacks internal dividers, so small items tend to scatter. This can be solved by using the included internal tray or adding separately sold divider parts. We recommend planning your storage to take advantage of the depth before purchasing.

DEWALT TOUGHSYSTEM 2.0 is a modular storage system developed as a premium line-up above TSTAK with IP65 (dust and water resistant) compliance. The Large Box DS400 has external dimensions of 380×262×H204mm and is a large-capacity box that can store power tool bodies, cords, and accessories all together. It features IP65 sealing with silicone gaskets, completely shutting out water and dust intrusion on job sites.
The biggest difference from TSTAK is ‘durability’. TOUGHSYSTEM 2.0 has a double-layer body structure and is designed to be resistant to drop impacts. At construction sites, tool boxes may fall from steps or be crushed by heavy loads. For craftspeople who use them daily in such harsh conditions, TOUGHSYSTEM 2.0 lasts longer.
One thing to note is that TOUGHSYSTEM 2.0 does not have stacking compatibility with TSTAK. However, using an adapter (DWST08017) allows for a hybrid configuration with TSTAK. The Tough System 2.0 Tool Bag is a soft bag that can be stack-connected to the hard case Tough System 2.0. The design that integrates both hard cases and soft bags into a single stack system is unique to other brands, demonstrating the high expandability of the Tough System 2.0. In the field, you can divide the horizontal section into the hard case and the upper section for frequently used hand tools into the soft bag.
The bag section has a hard bottom specification, so the bottom won’t lose its shape even when placed on the floor. It also comes with a shoulder strap and an easy-to-grip handle, and can be detached from the hard case for independent carrying. It meets the field’s requirements: stack when carrying all tools together, and use the bag alone when carrying only some tools.
However, due to the nature of a soft bag, it does not meet IP65 dust and water resistance performance. For use in rainy or muddy environments, we recommend storing it in the hard case before incorporating it into the stack.

It works for standalone portability as well as stacking with PACKOUT-compatible modules.
The strength of the PACKOUT system is its “reliable connections.” All connections between modules are secured with lock bars and won’t come loose even in high-vibration vehicle environments. Its adoption across all trades—construction, electrical, plumbing—is due to this reliable connectivity. The M-size offers superior portability compared to the XL-size and strikes the best balance between jobsite portability and storage capacity.

The material is a high-rigidity design that combines ABS+PP composite material with steel, and has sufficient load capacity to be used as a step stool.

The weakness of the half-size is that deep tools cannot be stored due to its thin profile. It is not suitable for storing cordless drill batteries or power driver bodies. The most effective way to use it is to dedicate it solely to organizing small items.

When stacking with the TSTAK system, it’s convenient to place the small box on top and keep frequently-used consumables inside during work. You can easily retrieve high-access items like bits, small binders, and keys without opening the larger box. The practical benefit is that you can easily see at a glance when it’s time to replenish consumables.
Because the TSTAK Small is relatively inexpensive on its own, many users own multiple units as an entry point or complement to the TSTAK system. However, you need to be careful about compatibility with the current TSTAK 2.0 (stacking direction). Please confirm connection compatibility with TSTAK 2.0 before purchasing.
