Tools are usually easy to keep organized, but consumables? Not so much.
Crimp terminals, awls, drill bits — before you know it, they’ve turned into a tangled mess with no real system.
Today I’m reviewing a parts box that finally solves that problem for every kind of small consumable.
It’s the DEWALT ToughCase+.
It’s a spin-off of DEWALT’s TSTAK toolbox system — a small-parts organizer born from that same lineup.
This organizer is genuinely useful no matter what trade you’re in — anyone dealing with small consumable parts on the job will get value out of it.

Product Specs
The ToughCase+ lineup comes in four sizes total.
All of them are connectable organizers.
They’re designed with portability in mind, so bringing them on-site is genuinely easy.
This is a relatively new product line, so accessories bundled with the same case can vary — mainly whether a bulk insert case and bit holders are included or not. As long as you check that detail before buying, you should be fine.
Durability is solid, too — it’s not officially rated for it, but it can take a person standing on it without any issue.
Bulk Insert Case

My Impressions
Here’s what it looks like sitting in your hand for scale.
It has a few small built-in dividers. Not being able to choose where those dividers sit is a bit of a letdown.
This bulk case snaps neatly into every size of ToughCase.
The fit is so tight it can actually be a little annoying to pull back out.
Capacity varies by case: 4 in the Small, 4 in the Medium, and up to 15 in the Large.
It’s a little odd that Small and Medium hold the same amount, but the Small case is slightly thicker and lets you mount the bulk case to the underside of the lid.
The Medium and Large cases can’t mount it to the lid, so keep that in mind.
Honestly, I found the use cases for this insert fairly limited — low capacity and no control over divider placement are the main reasons. In a lot of situations, a plain divider does the job just as well without bothering to snap this case in.
The other ToughCase sizes are compact enough on their own that carrying them out isn’t much of a hassle either.
That said, it could be a solid pick if you specifically need to carry out small, easily misplaced items.
It’s also great for storing small parts you never want mixed in with anything else.

My Impressions
The Small case is outstanding for storing driver bits.
I’m genuinely glad I bought it.
There’s a certain satisfaction in seeing a pile of messy bits organized this cleanly.
It somehow makes even well-worn, beat-up bits look brand new again.
This level of tidiness is honestly kind of addictive.
As someone with a mild organizing obsession, this thing hits the spot.
There are two types of bit holders included.
The smaller one holds mini bits either upright or at an angle. The larger one securely grips full-length bits.
That said, the fit is so tight that you’ll genuinely need needle-nose pliers to pull them back out.

My Impressions
The Medium case is thinner than the Small one, which lets its dividers snap in more precisely.
My take: the Medium is the better pick for consumables other than driver bits.
The size lineup feels genuinely well thought-out — each case has a clear role.
I use mine to keep all my drill-related consumables together.
The bulk insert case really isn’t necessary here — I just had a spare, so I’m using it anyway.
The Medium is the only size where you can reposition the center divider. That flexibility is one of this case’s real strengths.
ToughCase+ Large

Weight: approx. 1.5–1.7 kg
My Impressions
In a word, this one is the biggest — and toughest.
It’s thick enough to swallow just about anything without a fight.
It’s roomy enough for a mid-size hole saw. It ships with a divider that’s exclusive to the Large case, which does a solid job keeping small items from sliding around sideways.
Being the biggest size in the lineup, it genuinely swallows a huge amount of stuff.
It’s absurd how much it holds.
The lock uses a standard latch mechanism, but the lid also has a latch built in so you can connect it to a Medium case stacked on top.
One thing I don’t love: when you open the lid, the whole case tips forward.
That’s because the connector feet for TSTAK sit closer to the center than the edge.
It’s a bigger deal than it sounds.
メナIt’s usable, but it’s a quietly annoying design quirk.
Given its size, I store this one inside a ToughSystem-series case. The largest ToughSystem box fits it just fine.
I don’t run mine on a TSTAK cart, so this is mainly how I store it.
In the end, it’s become my dedicated stock box for small consumable parts, in bulk.
That kind of capacity is genuinely dependable.

Heads up: while a Medium case is connected underneath a Small case, you can’t open the Medium case. Keep that in mind.
Conclusion
Overall, the ToughCase+ lineup is one of the best small-parts organizer systems out there for staying genuinely organized.
When heading to a job site, you can connect just the cases you need and bring only those — the flexibility to tailor your load-out to the job is a real strength.
It plays nicely with TSTAK, but honestly the raw storage capacity and the ability to grab-and-go based on what you actually need are what stood out to me most.
